I came across a TikTok video in which a divorce lawyer argues that married men should not go to strip clubs:
“All relationships are going to go through rough patches. You’re going to go through situations where you’re not necessarily feeling super confident about your marriage or your relationship. […] So do you want your husband or your boyfriend at a strip club during a period of time where they’re not feeling super confident about their relationship with you?”
If a married man goes to strip clubs even when his relationship is doing well, then he will go to strip clubs when his relationship is not doing well. And if a married man goes to strip clubs when his relationship is not doing well, then he is likely to cheat on his spouse. Therefore, if a married man goes to strip clubs even when his relationship is doing well, then he is likely to cheat on his spouse.
However, a married man who wants to go to strip clubs can argue that even if he goes to strip clubs even when his relationship is doing well, he will not go to strip clubs when his relationship is not doing well because his relationship will never not do well. In response, the lawyer argues that “[e]very relationship in the history of the world ever” is “going to go through rough patches”.
The lawyer concludes with the advice that married men to “talk to [their spouses] about it” if they have “enough respect for [their] significant other,” and to not do it “if they’re uncomfortable”.
